조윤영은 노랫말의 이면을 섬세하게 표현하는 성악가로, 어린 시절부터 꾸준히 소리에 대한 호기심을 키워왔다.

한국 전통성악인 정가(가곡, 가사, 시조)에 매료되어 이를 전공으로 삼고, 과정의 미학이 담긴 조화로운 음악을 탐구하고 있다.

제16회 전국정가경창대회 일반부 전체대상과 제42회 국립국악원 온나라 국악경연대회 일반부 금상을 받았다.

2024 국립국악원 청년교육단원을 수료했으며, 경기시나위오케스트라, 듀오 솔솔, 앙상블 시작 등 다양한 무대에서 활동 중이다.

Yoon-young Cho is a female vocalist renowned for her profound ability to convey emotions that go beyond the lyrics. Her curiosity for sound began at age ten through choir. Her work focuses on exploring harmonious music inspired by nature, using traditional Korean vocal arts Gagok, Gasa, and Sijo.

She has earned prestigious awards, including the ‘1st prize’ at the 16th National Jeongga (traditional Korean vocal genre) Contest and the ‘1st prize’ at the 42nd Onnara Korean Music Competition. In 2024, she completed the National Gugak Center’s Youth Training Program (Internship), further deepening her expertise in traditional Korean vocal arts. She actively performs with groups such as the Gyeonggi Sinawi Orchestra, Duo Solsol, and Ensemble Sijak.
